Aktuell toben in Irland heftige Winterstürme, das hat mich veranlasst dieses Bild rauszusuchen. Es zeigt den Blick von Cloghmore auf Achill Island im County Mayo Richtung Keem Bay. Entstanden ist es im Februar 2011.
Aktuell sind die Wellen wohl etwas höher, in der Presse ist von 10 Meter-Wellen (!) die Rede und es ist auf der Insel auch schon einiges zu Bruch gegangen. Auch ein 20 Meter langer Finwal istum die Weihnachtszeit am Strand von Keel gestrandet und leider verendet. Im März werden wir uns die Auswirkungen vor Ort ansehen. Ich bin gespannt.
